Research into modern slavery
The Modern Slavery Research Consortium (MSRC) is a network of more than 200 groups and individuals engaged in or supporting research on issues of modern slavery. It is co-convened by Professor Gary Craig, Emeritus Professor of Social Justice at the Wilberforce Institute, University of Hull and Dr Alex Balch, Centre for the study of International Slavery, University of Liverpool. One of our activities is to publish Research Briefings, two page summaries of research just started, in progress or recently completed. We have published 15 to date at approximately one per month with several others due to be published soon, covering issues of human trafficking, forced labour, cannabis farming, supply chains and other slavery issues.
If anyone would like to see the current list of Briefings, please email firstname.lastname@example.org Similarly, if anyone has an idea for a Briefing, please contact Gary Craig to discuss it. Briefings should generally be just under 2 pages long and Gary will format them for publication.
